A sales funnel is a model of the stages a person goes through from first seeing your brand to becoming a customer. Because fewer people remain at each stage, it is drawn as a funnel.
It is usually split into three stages: awareness (discovering the brand), consideration (interest, research, comparison) and conversion (buying, getting in touch). Each stage needs different content and a different ad strategy.
Thinking in funnels helps you split the budget well: running only “buy now” ads misses people who don’t know you yet, while running only awareness ads delays sales.
Awareness: reaching new people with Reels. Consideration: showing the menu and reviews. Conversion: a discounted remarketing ad for cart abandoners.
PRACTICAL TIPS
- 01Prepare separate content and messages for each stage.
- 02Use remarketing at the bottom of the funnel.
- 03Measure at which stage you lose the most people.
