Remarketing (or retargeting) means showing ads again to people who visited your site, looked at your product or interacted with your Instagram account.
Most visitors don’t buy or get in touch on their first visit. Remarketing reminds people who already know you, so it usually delivers a much higher conversion rate and lower cost per acquisition than cold audiences.
On Meta, remarketing audiences are built with the Pixel and engagement audiences; on Google, with the Google tag.
People who viewed your menu but left without ordering see a “10% off your first order today” ad the next day.
PRACTICAL TIPS
- 01Create separate audiences for the last 7, 30 and 90 days.
- 02Exclude people who have already bought.
- 03Cap frequency so the same person doesn’t see the ad too often.
