Quality Score is Google Ads’ rating from 1 to 10 of how well your keywords, ad copy and landing page match the search.
Three components drive it: expected click-through rate, ad relevance and landing page experience. A high Quality Score lets you rank higher for the same bid and pay less per click.
You raise it by keeping each ad group to closely related keywords, putting the searched phrase in the ad copy and using a fast, relevant landing page.
An advertiser with a Quality Score of 8 can appear in the same position as a competitor scoring 4 while bidding less.
PRACTICAL TIPS
- 01Keep ad groups small and themed.
- 02Use the keyword in the ad headline.
- 03Repeat the same topic and offer on the landing page.
