Platform commission is the share that platforms such as Yemeksepeti, Uber Eats Trendyol Go, GetirYemek and Migros Yemek take from every order placed through them. The restaurant leaves this part of the order value to the platform.
The rate depends on the platform, city, category, contract and who delivers. It is lower when the restaurant delivers with its own courier and noticeably higher when the platform delivers. VAT is added on top of the commission invoice.
If a campaign discount applies, commission is usually calculated on the discounted amount. Prices set without considering discount, commission, packaging and delivery together can mean losing more money as orders grow.
Commission = Order value × Commission rate
On a 350 TRY order with 12% commission plus 20% VAT, the platform fee is 350 × 0.144 = 50.40 TRY.
PRACTICAL TIPS
- 01Use the actual rate on your invoice; typical rates vary by contract.
- 02Build commission into each product’s price.
- 03Consider a commission-free ordering channel of your own for regular customers.
